Getting to Dream Hostel & Hotel
Tampere Railway Station:
The railway station is approximately 600 metres and a 5 minute walk from us.
The shortest way is to walk through the new tunnel of the railway station to the side of Tullintori square (ask from someone, if you are not sure where). When you get out you will be in front of the Tullintori mall. Just walk past the mall to second road to the right (Pinninkatu). Walk down Pinninkatu untill the 3rd crossing to the left and then you get to Åkerlundinkatu street. We are on your left side the number 2.

Tampere Bus Station:
The bus station is approximately 1km and a 15 minute walk from us.
Head towards the orthodox church, which is clearly visible from the station. Keep walking straight, there is a bridge crossing the railways. After the bridge you have one building on your right, before the Tampere University campus area. Continue straight until you have traffic lights on your left. Turn left at the lights, go for 1 block and take the first left again. We are on your right.

Local shops, businesses and venues
The nearest supermarkets are S-market next to the train station, and K-market at Tullintori shopping center's bottom floor. Both less than 5 minute walk from us.
- Art House Cinema Niagara at B, Kehräsaari, Tampere
- Finnkino Plevna at Itäinenkatu 4, 33210 Tampere
- Finnkino Cine Atlas at Koskikeskus shopping center
We are situated next door to Tampere Hall, which is Scandinavia’s largest Congress and Concert Centre. The program varies with opera, ballet, pop, rock etc.
Hakametsä Stadium, the first ice stadium in Finland, is approximately 4 km from the hostel. You can take a local bus there from Itsenäisyydenkatu.
The nearest florist is Nina Flora, at Tammelan puistokatu 34, 33100 Tampere. They also deliver.
24-hour grocery shop
The nearest 24/7 shop is at a gas station, close to the bus station. They have the necessities, but the prices are higher than in regular grocery shops. Here is a map: http://goo.gl/6Qr65z
Flea markets and second hand shops
For budget shopping we recommend a nearby flea market called Bonus Kirppis at Itsenäisyydenkatu 13. They mainly deal in women's clothes, although you can find book, records, jewellery - pretty much anything if you rummage intently enough!
The hidden gem of second hand shops, Yesterday, is at Itsenäisyydenkatu 14. They have a great selection of especially 80's clothing, yet again, anything's possible and the owner will gladly help. Note: Some pieces are for rent only. Also, the place is tiny and packed, so a group of 3 people is squeezing things a bit already.
- Kirpputori Tarina at Laukontori 4, 33100 Tampere
- Kätkö Vintage at Aaltosenkatu 31, 33500 Tampere
Finnish design is famous around the world. If you're looking for some souvenirs, here are a couple of addresses:
